1. Disconnect physically from the internet
2. Boot to safe mode and do the following
3. check add/remove programs for "Wintools" or any related apps -
uninstall if found
4. Click Start -> Run -> type "services.msc" without quotes and then
look for a service named "wintools for IE" or something

similar. Then right click on it and then select stop.

5. check running processes by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the
Task Manager - end any of the following process if found:

wtoolsa.exe
wtools.exe
wtoolss.exe
wsup.exe
belt.exe

6. Delete the folder:
c:\program files\common files\wintools and any similar folders
referencing "wintools"

7. Open REGEDIT (backup the registry before making any changes)
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and delete any references to wtoolsa.exe, wtools.exe, wtoolss.exe,
wsup.exe, belt.exe
Browse to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
and look for any folders called WINTOOLS or WINTOOLS FOR IE - delete
them if found

8. In Internet Explorer
Delete the contents of the Downloaded Program Files folder "Open IE ->
Tools -> Internet options -> Settings -> View obejcts ->

Then delete the objects there.)
Clear IE cache
Delete contents of c:\windows\temp

9. Uninstall Spyware - Kazaa, P2P networking, GAIN/Gator,Cydoor, IBIS
toolbar, Buddylinks, MSView, Precision Time, My Way Toolbar,

My Seach Bar, MSN Toolbar, Dashbar Toolbar, nd media tickets (some of
these may be the same).

If nothing works, you are probably stuck with a parallel (to backup
data) or a clean install.
