XP Laptops System Date regularly incorrect

Simon

Hi

Two of our Dell Laptops running XP SP2 have started receinly to get an
incorrect system date.

I beleive the laptops are mostly used off site, and use a VPN client to
access the network, they are both also regularly hibernated.

We have a number more that are used the same with no problems.

I am a little stumpted, is this likely to be a hardware problem (as they
were both part of the same build) but then again the others were also the
same build/age.

Any advice would be much appreciated,

Thanks B

I see this with machines that have a bad or weak CMOS battery. If
you're seeing the incorrect date go way back to something like 2004,
that's usually the problem.
