Hi all,

I am a Technet Plus! Subscriber. For some reason my Windows XP SP2 key that
is provided as part of the Technet package is now showing as Invalid.

I only have this installed on one machine.
I have spent hours on Microsofts websites trying to find a way to contact
them but i cannot find anything.

Is anyone else experiancing this same problem ?

SP2 doesn't require a key it's a freebie, see my earlier post today

Please download and install the latest WGA file:

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...3-2f04233a78a6/WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86.exe

Then restart Windows. Does this resolve the issue?

If not, then:

Please follow this troubleshooting procedure:

1. Download and install the MGA Diagnostic Tool:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click
on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the
"WGA Validation Problems" forum and paste the
results of the WGA Diagnostic Data in a detailed post.
http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/default.aspx?SiteID=25

4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and
recommend an appropriate solution.

Contact Technet, as many MSDN and Technet keys have been pirated. We had
this happen a couple years ago - a client with a MSDN Uni subscription
had a fired employee post their keys on the net (they didn't know at the
time) and about 6 months later all their keys were invalid. Contacted
the MSDN people and was routed to another group that issued all new
keys.

Farey, the OP wants to validate their legitimate copy of WinXP, not jump
though another hoop of invalidation.
