XP Java conflict?

On internet sites that use Java my computer either crashes after a while
(blue screen with memory dump) or slows down to where the mouse won't even
move and I have to use Ctrl-alt-del to close the program. I have Win XP 2005
Media Center Edition. Pent 4, 3.6 GHz I can stay on the internet as long as
I want as long as it's not a site using Java. Two examples of sites where I
have the problem are Ameritrade streamer and earthcam cam sites. It happens
with internet explorer and firefox browsers. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem, when tried to play poker o
line! someone told me to try an older version of Java, which I haven'
done yet
