XP is 'Sluggish' after adding New HD??

Hi All.

Right now I have a Western Digital Caviar SE 120GB w/ 8MB cache. It holds XP
Pro, Games and data files. I had a Maxtor 80GB HD w/ 2MB Cache. But I just
replaced it with a Seagate 200GB HD w/ 8MB Cache. All drives were 7,200RPM.

But now my PC seems a bit sluggish or something....?? Almost like I'm
running out of RAM or something, even though I have a full gig of ram. Before
I installed the Seagate drive, I had both my WD hard drive, and the Maxtor HD
set to 'AUTO' mode in my IC7 Bios. Now I set both the WD & Seagate HD to
'LBA' Mode. Would this slow things down? The Seagate manual recommends
setting up the HD to LBA Mode. And then I looked in the WD Manual and it
recommends that as well. In XP, in the device manager, for both drives they
are set to DMA Mode 5.

Anyone have any ideas of why its a bit slower now? Thanks

In the BIOS settings, have you set the new HD to Primary - Secondary or a
sector ?

You set your hard drive to prim or secondary by where they are plug into the
cable and their jumper settings and not in the bios.
