XP is slow, a/v is choppy

I just recently upgraded from WIndows 98SE. I am running
a P3450 with 384 megs of ram. This should be ok to run
windows i would think. But any dvd i play is choppy even
with no other programs running and when i play mp3s in
the background of doing other things like surfing the web
the audio is choppy. Any advice? Thanks

I persoanlly would not run Windows XP on anything less than 800 mhz. Try
using Windows XP Classic Theme and not Luna.
