I HAVE TRIED TO INSTALL XP PRO OVE 10 TIMES BUT
IT ALWAYS DISPLAYS A BLUE STOP SCREEN SOMETIME IN THE
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (NOT SPECIFIC TIME) SAYING IT STOPS
FOR DIFFERENT REASONS.(MOST OFTEN IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL)
I EVEN UPDATED BIOS. I READ THAT IT CAN BE A HARDWARE
PROBLEM.

ATHLON 64 3200+
2 SATA SEAGATE 7200.7 (RAID 0)
MSI KT800 FIS2R
2X 256 KINGSTON DDR 400
SAPHIRE ATI 9800 PRO

Please do not post in all CAPS. That is considered yelling.

The IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL message is typically associated with a bad
driver. Make sure that you're installing with the latest storage driver for
your SATA drives, and take out any non-essential hardware. If you have an
older graphics card, you may want to try that just as a stop-gap to get
Windows installed.

Check the bus speed setting on the motherboard. I went
thru weeks attempting to install XP and W2K, but crashed
consistently with L1/L2 enabled in the bios. Went to JP2
[L4VXA2 motherboard,400 FSB/ Celeron 2.66 GHz] and changed
the jumper from 'Auto' to 533. Now the system flies, no
BSOD.

Same problem with Asus k8V SE Deluxe running Athlon 64 3000+ with Hitachi Deskstar drives with SATA cables tried in both RAID configurations.

Updated all drivers for
