XP Installation Problem. Please Help!!!

Hi,
I have Windows XP on my computer. I decided to install it again so I
inserted the XP installation CD and instead of Upgrade I selected New
Installation. The the computer restarted and started the installation
process. Everything ws going fine until there was a power cut and the
computer shut down abruptly and the installation was interrupted.

When the power came back in a few minutes the computer started and the
windows loading screen came on and there was a message saying "Setup is
restarting Windows installation" and then the screen went black. A few
seconds later the system automatically restarted and the whole process was
repeated. It reebots goes past the OS loader screen shows the above message
and then again reboots. This is going on in cycles.

Please tell me how I can get Windows to install again. I have a bootable
Windows XP CDROM but the system does not boot from CD, it shows a error
"Cannot Boot from CD" Code-4. I also made the Windows XP Pro Setup Disks (6
Floppies) and tried installing but there is a error on the second floppy and
it says it cannot read file.

Please let me know how I can install Windows XP. I want to format the
partition and install a fresh copy of XP. I'll appreciate you help and
thanks for your time.

Cheers
Sobhan

You'll need to boot to the xp cd(set for this in the BIOS,boot priority
device
or similiar),once at xp cd boot screen, select install xp,new copy, delete the
partition,create one,then xp formats and installs auto.Youre 1st original
mistake
was reinstalling xp thru IE,you need to boot to xp cd,run the repair
option,or do
a clean install, the later being the preffered method...

Basically, you are ****ed. Microsoft is a shitty company. They have
terrible support. Try Linux.

You can also try booting with a win98 diskette and using fdisk. repartition
the drive and format.. then go ahead and try installing by booting from cd.

Make sure pc bios is set to boot from cd then
