XP installation hangs

Bob Snyder

Have a 3 yr. old Dell system with ME. Tried to upgrade ME
to XP. Installation went through OK until the final one
minue mark when it stalled. This is the point "Removing
Temp files used" during FINALIZING INSTALLATION.
Restarting the system brings the installation back to 60
minute mark on setup, where it runs down and again hangs
up at 1 munite mark and stalls. How do I complete the XP
installation?? Thanks

After you reboot, hit Shift+F10 to open a command prompt and look for the
file named upgrade.txt to see what errors it warned of before installation.
It will be in the C:\Windows directory typically. You can also look at the
setuperr.log file as well.
