I was wondering if someone could help me resolve my xp
Home install problem. I keep receiving Stop errors after
Setup completes the DOS based portion of the install.
They come up one of a few ways:
Stop: 0x000000D1
(0x835756FF,0x0000000D,0x00000000,0xF98CC00D)
or
Stop: 0x0000007E
(0xC0000005,0xF998A063,0xF9EF5C68,0xF9EF5968)
***acpi.sys - Address F998A063 base at F9972000,
Datestamp 3b7d8550
or
Stop:0x0000007E
(0xC0000005,0x807EB6DF,0xF9E85170,0xF9E84E70)
or a few different other ways. Each time I try something
different, I seem to get a slightly different stop
error. The knowledge base hasn't helped me out enough
because I think that my situation may be unique.
My computer information is:
Soyo SY-K7VTA Pro Motherboard
AMD Athalon 1333MHz Processor
Acer 4x4x32 CDRW
Seagate 40GB HD
I've fdisk'd and formatted the drive- no success
I've cleared the CMOS and Flashed the BIOS- no success
I've downloaded and updated both HDD and CDRW drivers- no
success
Does anyone have any other ideas?
