XP install problems-ergent please help

I recently built a computer and am having trouble
installing Microsoft XP onto the system. All of the parts
are brand new, and are compatible with XP. After the
setup starts to copy the files but then unexpectedly
restarts. Sometimes it restarts without even reaching the
Lisince aggrement. What should I do to fix my problem?
