I have a computer that keeps logging off. Each time I boot it up and put in
the password. It acts like it's going to start up. It says applying settings
comes up to then when I get to the desktop it says saving settings and logs
off. I can get into safe mode just fine but not it won't boot into windows.
If any one has any ideas that would be great.

The fact that you can boot into Safe Mode means that one (or more) items
that start with Windows are causing Windows to fail.

You can troubleshoot with the System Configuration Utility or consult
Event Viewer for details on the cause.

If this problem occurred very recently, ask yourself what change(s) you
made to the computer immediately before the problem started--that may
also help you understand what might possibly be causing the problem.

I was in the event viewer and it showed there was an error with service
control manager. So you are saying that I should look at msconfig and see
what is opening etc?

This works about 60 percent of the time, make the CD's etc you must know
