when re installing XP home it keeps going in circles at reboot does
all checks copies files but at retsart dont get press any key message
to boot from cd. system just checks and starts to copy files again.
any help would be appreciated

The 'press any key to boot from CD' is only necessary BEFORE it copies the
files and such.
You don't just keep doing it.

Try removing the CD from the drive. You may be asked for it again.

thanx guys
i know i dont need it but when restarting it just automatically starts
system check does not start second phase
tried removing disc just stops
any other advice

Hi vaughan,

If you are doing a repair of Windows XP Home Edition or installing a
fresh copy, by a reformat and reinstall, you leave the XP Cd in the CD Drive
and do not hit any key while it reboots the computer.You get that message,
because the CD is bootable, but don't hit any key, so it bypasses the CD,
but the CD is necessary, so you need to leave the CD in, until you are get
to your Desktop of Windows XP Home Edition.
