XP Home Workgroup - Access Denied on One PC...

I have setup 4 pc's in a workgroup so as to be able to share a printer on
the first pc. However, although I can see all 4 machines on the network, I
can't access the first pc from any of the other machines. I can see it and
can ping it but access is denied when I try and use Windows to access a
share. I can access the other 3 machines from the problem pc however...

I have checked the Windows firewall is not blocking connections on the first
pc by turning it off. There does not appear to be any other firewall hiding
on the pc.

The network is connected by a wireless router on which the first pc is the
only one connected by an ethernet cable all the others are wireless.
However, the router does not appear to be blocking any traffic on the
network.

I have tried setting up identical users on the other pc's without success.

Any suggestions?

Do you have an antivirus with an included firewall such as Norton AV
2005/6? That would cause the problem. If you are really sure that you
don't have a hidden firewall, go through this small network
troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna:

If you take the time to go through the troubleshooter, it will usually
pinpoint the problem area(s).
