XP home vs XP Pro

I have XP Home and am planning on getting AutoCAD drafting
software. My question is, will AutoCAD work with the home
ed. or will Pro be nesassary? If so how do I go about
getting the Pro version?

AutoCAD will work just fine on xp home. There are no performance differences
between xp home and pro. Just make sure you have sufficient memory for xp
and acad. 256mb min - I recommend 512mb.

for the list of things that are in Pro only. In addition Pro will
support ten simultaneous connections in a network - Home only five

I see nothing at all to suggest that AutoCad needs Pro. It will though
probably need quite a lot of physical RAM and certainly large settings
for the size of page file
