XP Home Updates

Have not been able to install critical updates;
KB824141 and KB828035 for quite some time. Auto update
loads and does not error out. However the 2 updates are
not installed. If I go directly to Microsoft update, the 2
item are found after scanning, they download, but error
during installation. No other programs running. All prior
updates loading ok.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Don't want to see the
update pop-up about these two any more.

Try downloading the updates manually and installing them
manually.

On next download, let it time out, go through the error
messages, shut down, restart, go to add-delete and voila!
it may be there. Sorry, but that's how it works sometimes.
