XP Home Shutdown Monitor

I'd like to monitor (record) the shutdown sequence on an
XP SP1 Home system. I just installed a camera, and now
during shutdown I hear the "Critical Stop" sound before
the normal "Shutdown" sound. I'd like to see what is
causing this and possibly figure out why it is happening.

Does XP have such a tool?

You can check the event log for errors.

Thank you for your input. I know of the Event Manager, but
it is not recording any Shutdown Events.

Is there another tool that can be used?
