xp home setup

I have dell dimension 2400 and my hard drive went bad. I replaced drive, but
am trying to install XP home from Dell's reinstallation disc. When it gets
to point stating "enter" to install, nothing happens. When I tried to
install using the 6 floppies, the install stops, and I get message that say
"SIB file missing or corrupted". What can I do to install XP home on this
computer?

Look at the back of your new hard drive and make sure the jumper cap
is placed on "Master". Then make sure the drive is being recognized
properly in the BIOS.
