XP Home, Limited Users, and Network Printer Access

I have a PC running XP Home (SP2) with 3 limited users with an HP2610 Printer
Scanner attached through a router. Even with the firewalls disabled, the
limited users cannot access the printer and or scanner. HP is less than
helpful. They keep giving me advice for XP Pro. They gave me one workaround
that allowed limited users to access the printer, but then not even the
administrator could access the scanner. I believe the issue could be
resolved if I could disable "Simple File Sharing". On some XP Home systems
this option can be disabled as the last menu item on the Folders View Tab.
On my system this option is not visible, even in Safe mode. Can anybody help.

Sam,

Simple File Sharing can be easily disabled on XP Pro, but not on XP Home.

You can disable SFS, but it's not a supported change.
