xp home - joining a network w/ a domain

I have a user that wants to connect to my network, but
has Win xp home. Is there a way to join the domain?

No, he can't join the domain. He can access the resources if that what is
needed - he will need the domain name and an account/password on that
domain to login each time he accesses them.

Just a small clarification, the Workgroup name on the XP Home computer needs
to be the same as the Domain name.

Something I've also been doing. if there are mapped drives that need to be
created, is to make a small batch file on the root of the C: drive with all
the necessary NET USE commands. Then put a shortcut to this file in the
startup folder. This helps prevent the user from disconnecting a network
drive from the Explorer and now knowing how to get it back again.

Entiendo que quieres agregar una conexion de red a la pc con XP Home, lo mejor seria conectar con un cable RJ desde el puerto de la tarjeta de red, solo busca la configuracion

I don't believe that's correct. I have a WINXP Home test machine that still
has the MSHOME workgroup and connects to a WIN2K3 AD Domain resources
without problem.
