I have been trying for several attempts to get this to
have XP install and it hangs mostly at the point mentioned
in subject. I am using ECS MB L4VXA2, MSI G4TI4200-VTD8X
video card, Segate 80G HD, 512 stick of DDR3200 RAM.

I have tried to reformat and reinstall and repair and the
latest attempt brought the system to Saving settings at 7
minutes where it has halted.

Physically detach all hardware peripherals from your computer,
except your mouse, keyboard and monitor. Try again.

Done; Computer still hangs. I only have the monitor, and
keyboard connected. I have all the settings disabled that
I could think to disable in the bios. No shadow, no usb...
