XP HOME IN RUSSIAN TO XP HOME IN ENGLISH

bought notebook with xp home in russian pre installed. hv now bought xp home
english version. how can i do this? can i just uninstall the russian version
and install the english version without any damge or loss to existing data?

Assuming one drive only..
Other than backing up your data and restoring it afterwards...
You cannot.

You could (maybe) parallel install it - but doesn't seem worth it.
