I have a security update with a RED mark by it and it needs to be removed.
It also says I should be able to remove it in the Add/ Remove section. It
isn't there and I don't know where to look? The correct # for the update is
KB904706
Can anyone guide me. This is a fresh install.

Look under \Windows for a folder named \$NtUninstallKB904706$. There should
be a subfolder \spuninst and, in it, a file spuninst.exe - use it to remove.

I went there shortly after not finding it in the Add/Remove spot but when I
clicked it nothing happened so I deleted it by right clicking but it still
shows up as Installed. I have no idea what to do other than system restore?
Think that will fix this old lady's errors?

Jerry, 'System Restore' did replace this and still nothing appears to happen
when I click it, only takes me to an empty folder.
This Red spot shows when I click 'Review Update History'. Never goes away.

The Red Spot Indicates A Failed Download Of A Windows Update. Two Options:

1: Lookup The The Failed Download, Get It's Number And Try To Download It
From The Windows Catalogue.

2: Contact Microsoft For Help With Windows Update.

Hope This Helps - Some

I am having trouble uninstalling it. I went looking but didn't know for sure
which one to download. They have a list. I have XP Home Edition.

I will call them if necessary. Thanks for trying to help.
