Windows XP Home Edition SP1 on a HP Pavilion a300y. Works
with wireless keyboard. Works with HP keyboard connected
through a KVM. Does not recognize a directly-connected HP
PS2 keyboard, even when the wireless keyboard sensor has
been disconnected from the PC. It sees the PS2 mouse fine,
but not the keyboard.
If I delete the Keyboard driver and reboot, the keyboard
WORKS. But, after I login, the first thing it does is
automatically reinstall the damn keyboard driver. The
keyboard then becomes non-functional again.
Do I need a newer keyboard, or is there a way to disable
the driver install?
