XP Home doesn't recognize dvd drives

Hi -

I have a computer with Windows XP home edition. I haven't turned on or used
this computer in almost a year. The last time I used it, it was in working
order. Now, it doesn't see the dvd drives. The dvd drives receive power,
but they do not appear under "my computer". I could not find them listed
under device manager. I have also unplugged the drives from the mother board
and replugged them in to make sure the connection was secure.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try to get the computer to
recognize the drives?

Thanks in advance!

Hi -

I tried that link, followed the directions but that didn't work. The
computer still doesn't see the drives. Any other suggestions?
