XP Home cant load profile

My windows XP Home edition cant load my user profile, so I have to use a
tempary account that doesnt save any settings after i shut down.

Is there any way to get my account back?

All my data is still on the hard disk and readable.

Sometimes user profiles become corrupt. Make a new user profile for
yourself (don't name it exactly the same as the old one but make it
something you will like) and copy the data from the old one over. Here

After you've copied all the data from the corrupted user account, you
can just delete it from the User Accounts applet in Control Panel.
