Cant remember my Administrator Password for Windows XP Home Editio

Hi there,
I just purchased my PC Last week and loaded and regeistered my Windows XP
Home Edition. I created only one administrator profile with a password and
one limited profile without a password (not the guest profile). I have now
forgotten my adminstrator password and cant get in. I cant load programs or
anything because of this. Is there anything I can do or do I have to swipe
and reload my PC and if I do will my Windows XP still work?? Any help or
direction to help will be appreciated.

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s). By design, the
only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to
reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at
the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

this is where the hidden account *called* 'Administrator' comes in.
Boot, hitting F8 as BIOS info goes to black to get the Menu and take
Safe Mode. That should then at 'Welcome' include an icon for
'Administrator'; if not hit CTL-ALT-DEL twice to get a logon dialog,
enter the explicit name
Administrator
and assume that password is null, so Enter immediately. From that,
Start - Run and run
control userpasswords2
and you can select any user account and Reset Password
