XP Home - Battery not found but it's there!!!!!

Hi.

Excuse me if I'm in the wrong place but this is my first time with this kind
of thing.

I have a Fujutsi Seimens Amilo L 6820. The battery isn't recognised in the
Power Meter. The battery icon is crossed out but it is in place. I never
use the battery but it is annoying if my electricity supply goes off, so does
the pc, because there is no power in the battery.

Is there a driver I can reload or is there anything else anyone can
recommend?

It's most likely that the battery is worn out.
