Battery not found

One morning my battery light was blinking, informing me that my battery was
dead, though my computer has been plugged in, not running off of my battery.
I leave my battery in my comp at all times, and plugged in.. So it never
really runs off of my battery. Thinking the cord musta been bumped out i
went to push it back in, and it wasn't out of place. Now my computer doesn't
even recongize that my battery is IN my computer. It doesn't charge it & if I
look under my power options it doesn't even show there is a battery. My
computer is only a little over a year old and I am worried that I will
probably end up needing to spend the money to get a new battery. Any ideas?

Well considering that you never run the machine from your battery...I'd say
you need not worry about
replacing it

Quoted from your post "One morning my battery light was blinking, informing
me that my battery was dead, ..." - what else is there to know?

Ideas:
1. Power cord has failed
2. Battery is dead
3. Battery charging circuit is dead
4. Both the battery and the battery charging circuit are dead
Although many batteries last far longer than their design life, keep in mind
that the design life of laptop batteries 'is' one year.
Keep in mind that it 'could' be worse -- my laptop WILL NOT BOOT with a dead
battery, even when plugged into a power source.
