XP home 2 user profile problem

A friend has XP Home and has a problem with 2 user profiles and Roxio CD &
DVD Creator v6 Platinum Edition.
Roxio works just fine under one of the user profiles, but not under the
other profile. When he selects Label Creator (under the non working
profile), the program freezes, and the only way out is via Task Manager. One
difference that I can identify is that in the non working profile, within
Roxio, where one can 'Scan' or 'Aquire', there are no devices showing in the
dropdown window, whereas in the 'working profile' there is his Scanner and
digital camera showing.
Because Roxio works in one profile and not another, I saw this as an XP
issue, and because I have no experience of multi user profiles, so that I
can help him, I need some help please.

Actually, it's a Roxio issue as will be explained below. If the
instructions below don't resolve the issue you'll need to contact Roxio:

Most applications weren't designed for this type of multi-user environment.
Such applications need to be installed in each specific user's account to
whom you wish to grant access.

First, be sure the account to which you wish to grant access is set to
administrator and not limited. Install the applications to the same folder
in which it was originally installed. This will look the same as one
install on your hard drive but create the pointers necessary for this user
to have access to the application.

Once the installation is complete, you can return the account to its limited
status if that is what you want and the user should still have access.

Thank you Michael,
I will follow your advice when I can get 'hands on' friend's machine.
