A client I have has Windows XP Home Edition and I want to reformat my
computer (delete everything and start over, due to no firewall loads of
spyware and adware, etc). The problem is, their computer (ASPECT) has Windows
XP came preinstalled and they don't have the Windows XP HE CD and there is NO
partition to recover from. If anyone knows how I can reformat or obtain the
CDS, Please help. The company does not give or send CDs.

Use the media you got with YOUR computer!

If you knew as much as you think you know,
You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew!

You did not read this obvisouly, I said they did not get any CDs or have lost
them.

You talk about a clients computer and then go on to say you want to format
"my" computer. Then you go back to talk about "their" computer. Which is it?
You did not state the problem clearly! It appeared that you want to use the
clients software for YOUR computer.

If the company did not supply some method of restoring Windows XP then they
have violated their OEM license/agreement/contract with Microsoft. If they
didn't supply a COA then it is probably counterfeit or pirated software. In
either case you could contact Microsoft and plead your case.

If someone has lost their recovery/install CD/DVD or destroyed the recovery
partition and the OEM won't or can't supply you with another one you are
probably out of luck and would need to buy a new Windows licence. If you can
find the key used for their original install you may be able to use another
OEM CD to reinstall it with their key. Depending on the OEM version this may
or may not work. See here for info on how to find their key.

Either from the eBay seller who neglected to include them, or from the
laptop's manufacturer.
