XP froze up during NSW install-Windows will NOT start @ all!

Midway into installation of Norton System Works
2003, computer froze. Cannot start Windows,
only "hourglass" @ start button, do have desktop.
"Last Known Good Configuration" will not correct
my problem! Any HELP would be appreciated.
