My computer freezes while I'm opening and/or clicking back or fowards in
folders. I keep my running processes to a strict minimum. This
occurrence happens quite frequently and to resolve it, I have to open
the task manager and close it from there. It's quite an annoyance and I
was just curious if there is a fix for this. My system specs are:

Intel 2.59Ghz
Newly added 1Gig stick "high density" of ram --> total = 1.50Gb
ATi X1600PRO 256MB Video Card
Service Pack 2

Thanks!

There's probably a problem with the new RAM. It is very important that
RAM meet the motherboard requirements of type and sometimes placement.
Try the system without your new RAM. If it behaves itself, then you
know. If you did research what RAM to get and bought the right kind
(and it matches the RAM you already had installed) then it might be
bad. You can test it with Memtest86+ from www.memtest.org.
