Hello,
Problem: XP browses network server's (W2K Server) folders becomes
extremely slow, or to put it more accurately, freezed!
This does not happen when computer just starts and during
the
initial minutes of browsing the server.
But after a while, or after server accesses, Windows
Explorer just
gets freezed whenever even just push the updown arrow key.
And
thereafter, the XP's Windows Explorer stubbornly keeps its
freezed
status for a long, a really very long time - maybe hours.
File list on the server shared folders is not large.
I have tried my best to search available newsgroups, and some recommend
to disable the WebClient service, and I did, but no help.
The server is ok, because I can do the same thing from a W2K smoothly.
When browsing got freezed, I noticed no particular processes or threads
in taskmanager took too much share of CPU resource.
Thanks in advance.
