I have written to some of my cdrw's with Nero as a .iso
file and now XP wont recognise the disks. How do I force
XP to format the cd-rw's so it can be used again? It is
telling me that they are "full" of 0 bytes!

XP does not have the ability to do that. Rt click on the
CD and choose properties , on the recording tab un-check.
This will let your Nero software take control of your
recording. You should be using your IN-CD to format

Nero also has a disk format tool, I'm not at home right
now but I beleive it's in Tools, and you can do quick
erase or Full ersae, I suggest Full, takes about 30
minutes depending on your Ram.

First off, why do you need to format the disk? CDRW disks can be
erased (use Nero from the recording tab - select full erase disk).
Once the disk is erased it can be used over again.

You do not need to format a disk in order for it to be written to.
Just use Nero and follow directions. Choose multi-session if you
intend to continue data writing and do not want to close the disk.
Doesn't make a difference with data disks, but once you write an ISO,
that's it - no more data can be appended to the disk.
