xp font problems

all the fonts are gone from the fonts folder. when i
restart my computer all the settings on the desktop show
the fixedsys font and there are no fonts in the font
folder to select from. I copy them from the cd to the
folder and when it is done they still don't show up in
the folder any ideas?

Start/Search/type *.ttf and click O
When and if it finds any files, rightclick one and click Properties to see WHER
they are located, they should be somewheres on your harddrive.

I'm having the same problem. Only my font on the desktop is "marlett." Everyone I show my computer to says, "wow, i've never seen that before." Please, someone, HELP!!
