xp firewall

Ever since I installed my 4 port gateway router the xp firewall options have
gone. The router has it's own firewall but I would have liked to have had
both. When I click network options then the network adaptor and change this
connection there are no options what so ever for xp firewall. Do you know
how I can get it back?
Thanks...

John,

ICF can be enabled from Network Connections - (right click on your LAN
connection) - Properties - Advanced tab - "Protect my computer".
However:
1) ICF is intended for a single computer directly connected to a
modem (Broadband or POTS), not to a router.
2) ICF does not provide outbound filtering.
3) If enabled on a LAN connection, file sharing with other computers
on the LAN will be impaired.

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
