XP File restoration

Does anyoe know the RUN command that restores windows
system files to their original state? I remember reading
about it a long time ago in PC Magazine but I don't
recall what it was and I need it to restore some files on
a corrupt system w/out using the full blown reinstall
restore.

I have no clue, but if you find it, please email it to me,
having problems myself. Thanks

You can use the System File Checker utility in a Command Prompt window.
Open a Command Prompt and type

sfc /?

for use and syntax notes.

Alternatively, if you know the files to restore, open MSCONFIG
(Run>msconfig).
On the General tab click the Expand File button.
You can now restore any file(s) manually.

Martin.
