XP Fax Console doesn't always show received faxes in inbox

I am using the fax console in Windows XP to keep track of faxes
received. When a fax comes in, I set the console so that it prints out
and keeps a copy in the inbox. However, the faxes I receive don't
always show up in the inbox. For example, when I checked this morning,
the last fax I see was received on july 10th, and I know I received
others since then, including 2 this morning. Why is it so unreliable?

I don't know if it has anything to do with this problem, but the fax
I'm using is a Brother MFC 9700, and we have a lot of problems with it
that are only solved by unplugging it and replugging it. Could that be
why the fax console doesn't pick up the faxes received?

And is there a way to organize faxes received in the fax console other
that listing them by date received or by fax number? I'd like to be
able to set up folders so classify them.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks.

Thanks, I saw that page when I went on the Microsoft site, but that's
not what my problem is...it's that the faxes don't show up in the list
at all...I can preview the ones that are there but obviously not the
ones that don't appear in the list of faxes received...

This is an speculative answer since i don't have hands on the logs, events
etc. Can you change the archive location to to some other folder and try it
out? This can be done using FAX Printer properties dialog.
Are there enough disk space on your system drive? Set the archive location
to some place which has disk space.

Let us know if this helped.

Thanks, I checked and I don't know if it'll help the situation if I
archive to another folder, but I did notice in the Tracking tab that
it wasn't set to monitor the right device, so I switched it, maybe
that was the problem.

Thanks a lot!
