Greetings;

Under my previous Win XP pro (installed on C:) I had changed the location
of "My document" to a folder on a NTFS drive (F:) and made it private, so
that other
accounts couldn't access it. Months passed and in a very curious day my
computer's Motherboard burned up...
Now got a new mainboard, with a new XP (Pro + SP1) installed. "Mydocument"
is still on F:, but as you might have expected, access is denied. There is
no
way to change, copy or remove it. Even I can't format that partition!
(Almost 3 GB space is wasted). Can anyone tell me how to break the security
and access my invaluable documents?
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advance.

Thanks...but now i cant access my encrypted files in that folder...what
about them?

Did you save the encryption certificate to diskette? If not, I hope there wasn't
anything important in those files. They are encrypted using 128bit. With out the
private key certificate... well... looks like they are going to be useless.

Unless you designated a recovery agent and exported the encryption key
and certificate, the encrypted files will not be accessible and there is
no way around that.
