I have a portable which has a German version of XP Home.

I want to install XP Pro in English instaed of the German XP Home

Can I install the UK version of XP over the German version witjout deleting
all the other programs?

Any help much appreciated

No, but if you create a partition, you can dual boot. But
there is no way to change the language.

Note, you will need a full version in order to install, on a
new partition this could be an OEM version, although a
retail full version could be a better buy since you can move
it to a new computer at a later date. With a dual boot
system, you will also have to take ownership of your
previous data files and reinstall your program on the new
OS.

No, you can't install different language versions of Windows over each
other.
