Since the intro of XP, those of us with this scanner have been
searching for drivers...Logitech want to sell new scanners I guess.
I'm still running an old system with a PentiumPro CPU just to use my
scanner via the parallel port. It's networked to my new equipment then
so that I can work with the scanned documents.
But, sooner or later this system has to be retired as I'm running out
of space. I hate the thought of spending $2-300 for a HP sheetfeed
scanner...I don't want a flatbet scanner as I use this for archiving
documents and a flatbed is too slow for me (loading and unloading).
I see these kits that provide a USB to parallel cable and then USB
drivers on CD. Would this create a new port that the old LogiTech
driver might recognize running under XP?
Has anyone tried to see if this might be a work around??
