XP does not find USB connection

I'm trying to add a Epson printer to Win XP home.

cpu 900 duron, 512ram with a FIC board.

Printer loads as a LTP1 not a USB connection.

Windows does not find new hardware added.

any suggestions

type in the run box Services.msc

Make sure this service is set to automatic
Plug and Play.

Right Click Properties
Startup type Automatic
Click Ok.
Reboot.

However, you may need to get windows xp drivers for that printer.
Do a search on google for your model.

I just did mine last night. I went into configure printer and advanced. Then just change to USB.
