Hi Everyone

I tried to back up my data on CD. I run Backup.exe but this XP's feature
does not recognise CD-R, CD-RW or DVD-R except Zip disk, floppy disk, tape
or hard disk. This has been confirmed in a Microsoft's article: 315255

Is there any other way that I can back up my data on CDs?

Thank a lot.

Greetings --

WinXP's NTBackup does not recognize CDRs or CDRWs as valid backup
media. By design, it will only write back-ups to tape drives or
another physical or logical hard drive. Many people back-up to a
spare hard drive, and then burn the resulting file to a CD, as a
work-around. Another option, of course, is to use a 3rd party backup
solution.

smain;
Why not just copy the files you want to back up to CD. That is what I
do. With the exception of my archaic MSMoney2000, where I use the included
B/U option and B/U to 3½" disk. Hope this helps.
Let us know,
