Several days ago, I was on MSN. I liked what I saw and
made an icon, I thought. I have ended up with a mess and
have tried everything that I know to do. The problem is
the MSN icon in the size of 3/4 of the desk top. There is
a line that I can stretch to some degree which still
leaves it on the desktop, but not so big. As I have done
in the past, it has been easy to delete an icon. That
does not happen in this case. I cannot even click onto
anything with using the MSN and it is an ugly eye sore
only on the desktop. I saw it listed in add/ remove
programs, and I did delete to no avail. I changed wall
paper thinking that might work.I'm really desperate to
get rid of MSN posted on over 3/4 of the screen. All
other icons still show with this written over. Please
send a reply to the above address. Thanks

Easy way:

Use the System Restore option: Restore my Computer to an Earlier Time, and use a Restore
Point from the day before or as close as possible but PRIOR to the problem.

Sounds like you made the MSN icon into your desktop background and
stretched it to fit the screen. Right click on the desktop, properties
and look at Desktop background.

1. Right click the Desktop/Properties/Customize Desktop/Web - uncheck it.
Or
2. Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key and delete the entry,
if listed.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
Desktop\NameSpace
