XP constantly logging off even in safe mode. How do I get back in?

I posted the message below on the Kerio forum, on there web site and -as yet- had no response
I’m also going to try and e-mail them directly but it looks like you have to be a “paying†customer for help via direct e-mail
However as it is a question of windows failing to behave due to the installation of the firewall, I thought I would ask here for a safe way back in so can remove the kerio software
I assume that I will need my Windows XP home edition sp1 disc to perform the task - is it possible to get out of a situation like this if it happens on my Aspire laptop (which I’m writing this on), as it only comes with a couple of recovery CD’s? - and I hope I do better than last time when used FIXBOOT in the repair console and ended up with getting a C:\ prompt and nothing else on the C Drive

Anyone
Please help me get back my desktop PC
I uninstalled KPF 2.1.5 using Norton uninstall 2000 then installed the latest version of the free home user KPF 4
Big mistake! Everytime I start XP I get the welcome screen then a brief look at my wallpaper then the logon screen -which I don't usually get- as I'm the only user, and so, no password
When I click on my Icon to logon I yet again get a brief look at my wallpaper then logged off, this happens even in safe mode
How do I get back into XP to remove KPF 4
I've got a wireless network DLink +604 router modem with a NAT firewall
AVG installed - with KPF 2 - and the windows XP firewall switched off
Will I have to use the windows set-up disk (I'd rather not , the last time I did it was to restore some damaged boot files and doing so wiped my C:\ drive )
Any help much appreciated.

You should be able to go into safe mode command prompt only then with a bit
of work disable whatever is causing the problem you might want to contact
the company to find the best place to disable whatever it is trying to do!

I am not sure what is casing the reboot you could just try going into the
programs folder and renaming the folder the firewall files are in this
should cause windows to not know where to find the files.

I tried what you surggested, however booting into 'safe mode dos prompt' seems to put me back into windows safe mode GUI with the same old problem
I do have an old installation of 98 SE on another drive, so I booted into that and found the folder for Kerio 4 in the program files of Windows XP and not only renamed it ,but move it to another drive
All to no avail
Before I moved Kerio, it was still runing in the back ground looking for networks and asking me if it was a trusted network; that program has really messed with my PC
I have e-mailed Kerios UK support but it's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK so it's going to be a few days before I get a reply from them
Thanks for the advice Wayne.

sorry it did not work it is also possible it may be something else too!

Can you run a virus scan on the disk from win98?

Mcaffe has a stand alone program called stinger that can detect and clean
viruses you can download it and let it run!
If the disk is large it will take a while but probably a good idea to check
just in case!

I am fighting my own problem with XP was installing a DVD burner so I could
back up files and computer crashed on a reboot. XP starting window comes up
and system reboots. When I go into safe mode command prompt and do a dir it
says disk not found?

I put disk in my second XP box and disk can be read fine but all the files
are read only!
Do you know how long it takes to change the file properties on 20 GB of
data?

Good Luck!

At least I was able to get all my files copied over to another drive just
dislike having to reinstall all my applications over again!
