XP cloning using Sysprep and Symmatec Ghost 7.5

Hello,

I work for a school system and have some questions with
regards to cloning XP systems.

1) Our school district bought 25 Dell PC's ( all same
hardware)with XP Pro (OEM - Individual licenses). I built
one master PC with all its required applications and using
Sysprep and Ghost I want to do an image dump for re-
distribution. Do I let this master PC do a product
activation before I take the image dump ? or do I take the
image before product activation. The students make quite
a mess of the PC's over the school year and usually have
to restore at some point. We definitely need to restore
at the end of the school year. How does this work with the
three internet product activation and then you need to
call Microsoft for product application.

2) We are planning on purchasing 30 Dell PC's (all same
hardware)with XP Pro in the near future. Should we order
with the Open License ? Would this be better for
cloning ?

Unless you wish to enter the Product Key and activate Windows XP
individually, you should use a Volume License version of Windows XP.
