xp clock lagging (seconf per minut!!) on i7+Giga board

this problem drive me crazy!

I have new PC: i7 920 CPU + 3G Mem + Gigabyte EX58-UD4 Board. with XP
Pro SP3.

I notice that some App cuase the Clock slow about one sec per Minut:
EasyTuen (Gigabyte Tune App)
Sis Sandra (especial while memory latency test)

I send this to Gigabyte, and they ask that I test it again on clean
Install. the result is:
EasyTuen - not cause any slow, until I install Sis Sandra.

I try it again on my Old install, and it's slow even after I remove
SisSandra completely!
So it's very difficult to know what cause the problem.

Even when the Clock is not slow, I find that is slow about 3.5 sec per
day, this is in Normal?

Your post contains some contradictory statements such as "Even when the
Clock is not slow, I find that is slow".

Your first step should be to find out if the problem is caused by the clock
chip on the motherboard, by some Windows process or by an external agent.
Here is what you can do:
1. Boot into the BIOS setup and set the clock to the correct time. Now turn
the machine off for a few hours, then go back into the BIOS setup. If the
time is correct then the motherboard is fine. If not then you may have to
replace the button battery on the motherboard.
2. Physically disconnect your machine from the Internet. Now boot into Safe
Mode and set the clock. Leave it in Safe Mode for a few hours. If the clock
loses time then you have a problem with Windows.
3. Physically disconnect your machine from the Internet. Now boot into
Normal Mode and set the clock. Leave it in Normal Mode for a few hours. If
the clock loses time then you have a problem with one of the programs that
are launched at boot time.
4. Reconnect your machine to the Internet. Boot into Normal Mode and set the
clock. Leave it in Normal Mode for a few hours. If the clock loses time then
you have you have some program on your machine that communicates via the
Internet and causes your clock to go slow.

I check bios when the pc off one and half day, and I not see any slow.
the problem is only when the xp is run.
I also turn of the windows time service and I disable the update of
clock from the Internet.

I find App rocket.time that easy to track after the clock.
I check also on fresh installation. and according rocket.time
(rocket.time ) the slow is 3.5 sec per day (I check it one week).
But when I run the EasyTune (tune application that Gigabyte include
with motherboard), and I install Sis Sandra, immediately the clock
slow with 1 sec per minute! (this is not seem like have some INTERNET
problem)

I also ask Gigabyte, but they no have clear idea what is it.

so my q is:
A. is normal that clock (not bios) slow with 3.5 sec per day?
B. the big slow while EasyYune run, is avoidance of hardware problem?

maybe this problem is spec for i7 920?

thanks

This is a Vista howto, covers servers, registry & firewall. Can be used
for XP.
