XP Clients cannot login VPN

I have a Windows 2000 Server running Routing and Remote Access for client VPN
connections at a remote office. I am able to connect to it with a Windows
2000 Pro client, but cannot connect to it with a Windows XP Pro or XP Home
client. I can connect to a different RRAS on a Windows 2K3 system with all
client versions. I'm running a 2003 AD environment and the Windows 2000
server is a member of the RAS and IAS Servers security group. When the
Windows XP client attempts to connect, it gets to the "Verifying username and
password" splash screen. It hangs there until it times out. I don't get any
indication in the Event Viewer logs that an attempt was made. does anyone
have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Looks like for some reason the authentication is failing. We could
investigate this further if the PPP.log is shared for both the Win2k3 Pro
Client and the XP Client.

To enable ras logs:
netsh ras set tra * en

To disable ras logs:
netsh ras set tra * dis

The logs will be at %windir%\tracing
