XP Client access drop

D

Donnie

I have a windows 2000 server on a Dell PowerEdge. The
System is running great on all operating systems except
for Windows XP Clients. Some how if the computer has been
logged on for an extended amount of time (like 4-6 hours)
the server disconnects the user. The User can still see
the server in Network Places, but cannot access any of
the shares on the server nor access any other computer on
the network. The users has Full admin rights, and this
problem does not happen on any other windows (NT, 2000,
and 98 all work fine).

Help Please...

Does the XP client get any error message when trying to access the server?

Thank you,

Does the ipconfig/all show that everything is pointing to your server-IP?
Put the XP-nics on anything but autosense.
